On 22 February 2011, Residential land attended City Rocks, a charity rock concert held in the City of London to raise money for the Lord Mayor’s 2011 appeal. The unique evening held at the Guildhall, was an outstanding success and featured amazing performances from Bryan Adams and Katie Melua.
The event was the first major event for the ‘Bear Necessities’ Lord Mayor’s Appeal 2011, which is raising money for the UK’s oldest Children’s Charity, Coram and worldwide disaster relief charity RedR.
As part of the City Rocks event, a fantastic auction was held to raise money for the Coram Children’s Charity, and RedR disaster relief charity. The auction was conducted by the hugely entertaining celebrity Irish auctioneer, Nick Nugent.
The auction was a great success and raised a considerable amount for the two charities. Residential Land were extremely pleased to secure the winning bid on the main lot of the evening; a Necklace worn by Angelina Jolie to the premier of her recent movie, ‘Salt’. The black spinel necklace was crafted especially for Angelina by her private jeweller Robert Procop, and our auction prize even came with a personal note from Angelina herself!
