On the 15th of June Residential Land was honoured to attend the ‘One for the Boys’ Fashion Ball. One for the boys is an charity founded by Sofia Davis as a tribute to a friend’s brother who lost his battle with cancer.
It was the first time the charity fashion ball has been held, and the event attracted support from a stellar line up of stars and fashion houses. Hosted by the actor Samuel L Jackson who earlier this year signed up to be a public face for the charity, attendees included Simon Pegg, Lewis Hamilton and Colin Firth with live music from Paloma Faith.
The fundraising event was described as a “Blue Steel” inspired fashion moment which took place in the Natural History Museum in South Kensington. Over £38,000 was raised during the event and the money will be donated to a number of men’s Cancer charities that mark each stage of the cancer journey.
It was an exceptional night which started with a Moet & Chandon reception, followed by a sublime dinner cooked by a team of Michelin star chefs including Tom Kerridge and Michael Caines. A silent auction took place after dinner and the evening culminated in a number of celebrities taking to the catwalk sporting apparel from supporting fashion houses including Fendi, Alexander McQueen and Hugo Boss.
