Griffin Brewery

As the official home of London Pride Ale, this Fullers Brewery is a magical place for any dedicated hop-lovers. However, even beer novices will enjoy exploring Griffin Brewery, where tours and tasting sessions are offered as well as a shop selling beer, cider, wine memorabilia and branded glasses. Founded in 1845 it remains an independent family brewery, and a must-visit for any true Chiswick resident.

Eyot Island

This uninhabited, ship-shaped island just off Chiswick Mall is a true hidden gem in W4, and the perfect place to explore on a summer’s day. Once an ancient settlement, the island is now a declared nature reserve and is only accessible during low tide. At only 2.7 acres its easy to explore, but make sure you return before the tide does and the island becomes submerged!

Summer Skiing at Ski Plex

We’d rather not admit it, but summer in London doesn’t quite have the guaranteed sunshine offered by more Southern locations. Fortunately, indoor ski slope SkiPlex in Chiswick have those rainy August days sorted with their Summer Skiing courses, so you can practice your snow-plough ahead of the winter ski season.

Kew Gardens

Just across the Thames from Chiswick, Kew Gardens is one of London’s most wonderful attractions, and the fortunately locals of W4 are just a walk away! Spend an enjoyable and educational afternoon here among the botanicals, rare flowers and blooming greenhouses, followed by an ice cream on the grass. Bliss!

Chiswick House

Built during the 18th century and inspired by Italian architecture, this wonderful Neo-Palladian villa will transport you to Southern Italy with a programme of excellent open-air events in the landscaped gardens. As well as the Luna Cinema, locals can look forward to outdoor opera performances of La Traviata and Die Fledermaus, Kitchen Garden Open Days and more.
