Residential Land are proud to support Make A Wish foundation, the charity’s aim is to create life-changing wishes for Children with critical illnesses. Whether it’s starring in their own films, walking with dinosaurs, going on an amazing holiday, meeting a celebrity hero, or having a bedroom makeover; wishes are varied, personal and life-changing. They go above and beyond to grant amazing wishes to amazing children; their One True Wish made a reality at a time when they need it most.
An example some of their work is the wish story of 7 year old Oscar who suffered from a very rare of incurable leukemia called JMML, he was given 3 months to live and was admitted to Great Ormond Street Hospital where he told the charity his wish to meet his hero John Terry, the charity went to work and granted Oscars wish in November 2012 when he was able to meet John at Chelsea training ground.
Seeing first hand the effects a wish can have on a seriously ill child: from creating incredible memories, building confidence and bringing happiness, to providing respite from the daily struggles that come with a critical illness, this is the driving force behind why they do what they do. Patrons of the charity include Jessie J and Bradley Walsh.
